Russian cbank expects strong temporary econ activity drop

MOSCOW, Mar 30 (PRIME) -- The Russian central bank expects a strong but temporary decline of economic activity due to the spread of coronavirus and the restrictive measures, the authority said in a statement on Monday.

"The spread of the coronavirus pandemic and the restrictive measures adopted by the governments throughout the world and in Russia will lead to a temporary but significant decline of economic activity during the months to come. The dates of return of the economy to a normal state will firstly depend on the speed of easing of the restrictions," the central bank said.
